Here is are latest video of Eli with the Hansen Girls. They came over Wednesday afternoon to play for a bit. It's a bit on the long side but Emma is pretty funny towards the end!
"Happy Birthday Daddy"
So it was a busy weekend. And I am just now getting to sit down to update the blog. Friday was Jeff's Birthday party at Fritz's and I painted our spare room , Saturday Jeff and our friend Tom put can lights in the main living room of the house (which is a all day construction zone event) and Sunday we had a after church BBQ to say good-by to a family that is leaving our church to go plant a church in Boise ID and then Sunday night we had our Community Dinner at our house till 10 pm. Somehow Eli got naps, ate, was mildly over stimulated and managed to put a whole roll of toilet paper in the toilet. Problely trying to "Communitcate" what he thinks about the whole infant potty training thing. Which right now we are coming off of a strong protest. For the last few weeks he has been too focused on learing how to walk faster, falling down, crawling, then trying to walk fast again. He tries so hard to go fast....it's pretty funny! Last night he slept 14 hours, waking up twice to nurse, but really sleeping the whole time. He was tired i'm guessing! I'm tired just writing this post thinking of all that we did.
Eli does not like his face to be wiped....looking at daddy hoping he's all done...
We had to keep Eli in the pack n' play while we did clean up from the can lights. He grew to like it!
Our new can Light for the living room and dinning room....8 total!

This past weekend we went camping with our church at Fort Flagler. We had mostly good weather with Saturday being pretty nice and then getting some rain on Saturday night and Sunday. Eli had his first time on the beach and playing in the sand. He did so good to not eat the whole beach! Only a little of the beach!
He went and got a stick right away and started swinging it in the air and playing in the sand with it. He was so pleased to have a stick.
Later on that day almost the whole camp headed down to the beach to take advantage of the sunshine. It was so fun to play with all the kids and be at the beach.
Eli has been walking around with his tongue out on the Left side for days now. I'm starting to wonder if it's some sort of muscle defect. I have a funny video that really shows the big tongue in action, hopefully I will put it on later. He just sticks it out really
far on the left side and says lala lala la la la.

Here are a few videos that we took over the last few days. Ainsley and Emma came over to play with Eli on Wednesday and we had so much fun. Ains is such a good big sister and even helped me with putting away the laundry. We are so glad when they get to come over.

This weekend we went to the drive in for the first time with Eli. He was so excited, shouting out the window and crusin all around the car. He fell asleep nursing around 9ish and we laid him down in the back seat and he slept through the whole thing. This was so much fun, looks like we'll be at the Drive In a lot this summer!!!
Shouting out the window!!!
Yesterday was sooo hot. Eli and I went out on the deck and stayed cool with the hose and a cup. I would fill the cup up and he would dump it on himself or drink it. All the while he thought it was so much fun. I was happy that he was drinking water without a fuss and staying cool.
Later that day we had our community dinner. Eli skipped his afternoon nap because he new that people were coming over. Even though I put him down before people came. It's like he can feel the vibe. He did well though and was pretty happy. People always override napping.
