Kauai Surf Break
Noah Turns 1...So on Sunday we headed over to the other side of the world for Noah's big day. Eli was the only other baby...I didn't know that Noah was so mature to have such sophisticated friends. So the boys trucked around and enjoyed all the attention. Tony had lots of games for all of us to play. Jeff won the balloon toss and gave the winner sticker to Eli.

"So I was told to bring all these presents out to the car for inspection and then a brief
trip to the border...I'll be right back"

Eli did not like the cone hat...

The Marshall's...So then after the party we went over to the Marshall's to say good-bye to Taryn. Taryn will be in Africa for 3 Months working in an orphanage. So they had a big party for her. Mostly Eli just took off all his clothes and ran around naked. We don't have pictures of that of course because that would be to explicit. But I'm sure you can imagine. He also got right into the stream that they have running through their front yard and played with the rocks. This kids loves the water. No matter the temp.

We will miss you Taryn...Love Jeff, Kim and Eli.

Well today started off with Uncle Tim. Jeff's brother came for the weekend for a conference in Seattle. So we get to see them in the morning...then their off to do brother things for the rest of the day. After they left Eli and I headed out for an appearance at a fashion show to speak on Infant Potty Training. Eli kept stealing his potty seats that I had brought for display while I was talking, he did great though and everyone was so impressed with his potty skills. So then we headed home for some lunch, play and nap. After nap we got ready and headed out the door again to meet up with some friends at the Fair and go to the Rodeo.....then we headed home for bed at around 9:00. It was a good fun day with mostly no bumps.....
Eli has been a bit testy these last few days. Kinda like he has all these emotions and he doesn't know what to do with them, Nor do I for that matter. He hasn't breastfed now for about a week. I know that he has two teeth coming in on the bottom also. So I think he is going through a little bit of an emotional crisis. So I'm giving it a little bit of time for some things to work themselves out and I'll see how he's doing in a week or so. I know he's mad about his teeth and I know that he may also be struggling with connecting with me now that he isn't nursing. If you think to pray for us that would be great.

Anyways....here's the day!

Eli Made friends right aways, of course!
Clara and Eli shared Jo's and cookies and talk about baby stuff.

Back home for some play time.
Oooohhh Grampa Cox's birthday money got Eli a cool train that has puzzle animals on it. I let Eli open it up today.

Right into the costco box for some personal time

Kitsap Fair/Rodeo
2nd time's a charm

This little girl was just so intrigued with
Eli's dancing skills...she was like
"hey are you from So You Think You Can Dance because you are soooo good?"

These girls were so talented. Ages 11 and 12. They played the fiddles and sang, and Eli just danced and dance.

We learned that Jamie and Luke are afraid of birds...especially one's that are loose and chasing them...

Brenden did real good with the horses this time. He just stuck with his dada and didn't even mind. Of coarse this time the horse didn't almost eat him either.

Well I had good intentions this week to post more frequently so that I wouldn't have all the pictures blogged up, but that didn't seem to happen. We had a fun full week. Emma had her 2nd Birthday and I made her a sling, we went to a wedding, had friends over for dinner, visited the Kuhns on there vacation on Vashon, went to the Kitsap county fair....Since this next weekend is suppose to be super full I thought I better get this blog up so that come Monday I can have a chance at staying up with all the adventures!

Adam and Luimi's Wedding

Mug Shot at Church on Suday with new Hat and Vest....Such a little mad!

Friends over for dinner and yard play

The girls dressed up like pricesses and then ran around the yard

Standard shot with Uncle Pat

Vashon

While Eli took a nap we played an intense game of scrabble. All the small 3 to 4 letter words are mine. Some of the other words are a bit debatable. But there was no dictionary at the cabin so we kept having to call Dana's mom.

Once Eli was up the brothers played with him chased him around the house. Eli was so happy to wake to play and being chased.

"boys....can I come"

The beach is just a short walk away. Eli so wanted to get in the water that I couldn't stop him. He went right into the water and played. He was so happy...even though it was freezing cold.

Caleb, Jack, Peter and Eli

Dain and Eli

Peter stayed right with him in the water. Eli just splashed and splashed.

"Ok, I'm done"

Peter and Eli

We left around his bedtime. So the boys all watched an animal movie while I got things ready in the car. Eli is now Weaned...all on his own accord! So he is now big and drinking Soy out of a bottle. I just want to say that he has never taken a bottle his whole little life, early last week was his first real time drinking from a bottle.

Dana and I did a bunch of cleaning in the cabin
throughout the day...she ended with the TV stand.

Eli found a bag the other day and put it over his head...he took a few steps and then took it off. It was pretty funny.

Kitsap County Fair

Ansley and Emma came with us too.

Jessica and Brenden met up with us to look at the animals.

The pig
...once in the pen...Ansley and Emma wanted out.

Where is Emma???
Well she had enough animals for the day and opted for the stroller. She felt safe there. While in the stroller though a little girl came and stole one of her apple pieces without asking.
Once we left the petting area she was fine.

About me

Hi I'm Kim. My husband Jeff and I live in Kauai with our 4 boys. I mostly love sunshine, coffee and surfing. So Kauai really works well. We came here and opened a non-profit coffee shop call Ha Coffee Bar. It's taken me some time to know my voice but now I'm listening. This is my journal.
You might find me writing about, legos, Minecraft, space, story writing, painting, surfing, coffee, veganism. We also dabble in the minimalist lifestyle and try our best to focus on experiences rather then things!
