Kauai Surf Break
Eli on the potty.

This is what happens when you "check on something real quick" and
have to leave the room.

Time to catch up on some reading.

This was funny. I really wanted to go for a walk the other day and it was pouring. So I got Eli all bundled up (which as you can see he was somewhat perturbed about) and then put some plastic wrap around his jogger. It worked pretty well. But that afternoon I call the Instep Jogger company and ordered the rain shield for the jogger.
I figured it would be worth it since I will be walking all winter with Eli.

This is what Grey does when it's raining outside.

Eli really loves his jogger. This is his way of letting me know that he would like to go for ride.

Eli wanting to ride his bus...it must be so confusing to be little. Most things are too big and the rest of the things are too small!
This was our play time at the Kaleidoscope play place. This was our first play group that we went to with the Kitsap Meet Up Group. They meet all over during the week so its easy to go to one that fits with your schedule and location. They also have play groups that are at families homes also. Eli loved all the action and climbing. We will have to try to go to this one as much as we can.

This past weekend we went to Port Towny to go to the Co-op, walk around town and visit Fort Warden (I think that's what its called). The Days came along and we had lots of fun. Eli was very entertaining as usual.

oops...gotta get the crack shot!

Eli pointing to all the fish's down in the water

Eli did really like the beach this time. For some reason the
waves scared him. So stuck to the sand and found a stick.

Yeah for a Fun Day!

Abby told us about this play group that meets on Fridays at the Sheridan Community Center so we went. Eli had a blast. Free reign from all "no thank you's" and "don't touch" he just went hog wild. Here' a video of him rearranging the cones. The funny part is what he does when he sees the big blue balls.

Hair Cut

On Jeff's request Eli got his first hair cut. The top was looking kinda fluffy, so we got out the big boy snips and gave him a buzz. All I have to say is that each day its looking better :). I saved a little piece, because I think that's was your suppose to do if your a good mom. Though I don't know what Eli is going to want to do with his hair when he's older. But it will go in the memory box with other stuff that mom's save.

Of course we went right into the bath to get rid of all the little hairs.

The new man with his new hair. Books with daddy and then off to bed!

There was a bunch of old O's that had fallen into the jogger. Eli climbed up and ate them. But mostly I took these shots cause of his new do.

The BOX

Eli is unofficially officially potty trained. Meaning if he's with me or daddy there's no need for diapers for the whole day. But for naps and bedtime he has to wear Huggies. His little bottom is so cute in these tighty whities. We are in the process of buying a potty that he can go in and sit on, on his own. One that kinda looks like a toilet but is little. I think the next phase is him going in on his own and doing his business without the help of mommy. That's the plan for the next few months. These shots are cute because he just played with this box forever and kept squishing his face against the crack.

Going in...

Look at those cute buns....

BIG shark growl to scare mommy and daddy on the way out....

I know a lot of you have been wanting these photos...sorry I couldn't get these up sooner it has just been kinda busy. We had so much fun with Jamie, Luke and Eben. They got all moved in to there new house. We got to spend some good time with the Gilberts and hear all about their vision for Boise and what their plans are for this next year. It was so exciting to hear their hearts for Boise and how God has called them. It just was good to get to spend some time with them in there element and see them in action after all the time they were in limbo waiting for the big move. And now that the Morschecks are there things will be even better.

We also got to spend some time with Grama and Grampa during the middle of the trip. Grama had Eli the whole day on Saturday while we went back to Boise to help Jamie and Luke unload the trip. I don't think we would have been able to do this had not Grama stepped in and watch Eli for the day. They went to the library and played. Eli loved being grampa too once he came home in the afternoon. We made it back later that night just in time to put Eli to bed. He didn't even seem to miss us. He's just getting so big.

Here's the photos!

Eli fell alseep reading. Eben outslept Eli big time, snoozing most of the way.

We took this for Halsey Schuette...

I think this was stop number 6...the only time Eben did wake up was to eat and fill his pants. This might have been blow-out number 3...not sure though cause we lost count!

Dinner at Sumpter Junction...almost to Jeff's parents. I think at this point it had been over 10 hours of driving. Just 1 1/2 more hours to the Adam's house to hit the hay so that the next day we could finish 45 min drive to boise to unload the truck.

Finally out of the car and at the Adams

Saturday morning! The Morschecks land at their new home in Boise!

Zeek and Mason...

Great Grama Tilson.

Pop pop and Eli

On Tuesday we went back over to Boise to spend some more time with the Gilberts and the Morschecks. We went to a coffee/candy shop in this one part of town while we waited for everyone to hook up.

On the bus from the airport. Almost back home! That day we Flew, road a bus, took the ferry and then Kristy picked us up and took us home. We were so tired. We had such a good time though and will miss all are family and friends.

About me

Hi I'm Kim. My husband Jeff and I live in Kauai with our 4 boys. I mostly love sunshine, coffee and surfing. So Kauai really works well. We came here and opened a non-profit coffee shop call Ha Coffee Bar. It's taken me some time to know my voice but now I'm listening. This is my journal.
You might find me writing about, legos, Minecraft, space, story writing, painting, surfing, coffee, veganism. We also dabble in the minimalist lifestyle and try our best to focus on experiences rather then things!
