Eli is just starting to get his appetite back after having the stomach flu twice in the last two weeks. At first I was concerned that he wasn't eating, and then the other night I just put all his food on the tray and went about doing stuff in the kitchen. And then he ate all the food. He just wanted to do it himself: His independence grows more and more every day! So I guess we have moved on to a new stage. The Super Messy Eating stage. I was so happy to feed Eli and keep everything nice and clean, but those days are over. At least he is eating. His favorite food this week has been Horizon Organic Whole Milk Yogurt (w/ cream on top) Plain. We have tried a bunch of different yogurts and he loathed them all. But no funny faces with the Horizon. Well except for this face...which is the "i'm all done" face.
Jess let us borrow SuperBrendens walker. Eli crawled over too it as soon as he saw it and stood right up, he was sooooo excited. He pushed it all over the house, but mostly just got stuck after he went in one direction. He was focused when he would get stuck too. He kept trying to push it harder. Finally Jeff had to help him and turn him around. He's getting so big!!!
been what he has been eating for breakfast.
Half a banana (all by himself of course) and a 1/2 cup of yogurt.
We ate some lunch at their place and then went to Pete and Cindy's (Heidi's parents who also go to Seaside) where we saw spent some time on the beach and picked out some oysters to take home...yummm.

I can't believe how much older he is and looks. Can't wait to see him for ourselves!
ReplyDeleteThere are times when I still wish I could feed Jamie his yogurt - they only seem to get messier for awhile, although Eli really did a number in that first pic! Oh, and I remember you sucking (slurping) down those oysters while you were pregnant kim, rather disturbing actually...(JK)
