The Last few days

by - 4:22 PM

This past Sunday we held our first Community Dinner. Eli woke up from his nap with a whole house and deck full of people. Of course he was excited to see all of his favorite people, and all at his house to boot. He cruised around and worked the room. Lots to see and do. At one point he had found a barbecue chip on the ground and Mirabella found him and told me. I grabbed it at the last second....

Isabelle and Eli

Eli's been doing really well this last week. He is eating good and sleeping good. The last few nights he has been sleeping through the night. He hasn't really done that since before he had the stomach flu. His new foods this week have been black beans (mashed with brown rice) and toast with cashew butter. Both of which he loves. These are good foods for him to eat because they are complete proteins, which he needs. Eli also had his Well Baby check up this week. He's only a whole 16 lbs 12oz's, but Dr. Mattern said that he is a very healthy boy with lots of energy and very happy!!! All good things. So he just said that he's probably a little under weight because he was sick last month and not to worry, he'll even out. And told us some good sources of protein. He also said that we could feed him meat it we want but that it's up to us. I think we'll wait a little bit longer.

All ready, but no place to go. He must be excited for the beach in July...
Biddley had so much fun yesterday on the deck.
He "helped" me water the flowers too. I didn't get a picture of that, but it was pretty fun. He would crawl around me while I was watering and hold on to the pot that was getting water. We talked about how plants need water to drink and how they were thirsty because it was so hot outside. He kept eating the dirt and I had to keep washing his mouth out.
Eli really loves to eat dirt. If he can find it, he will eat it and I am only so fast.
So yes, these past few weeks he has eaten some dirt....so gross!!
Mostly plant dirt though, so I guess it's not too bad.

Eli loves his Little People and the Bus. He puts them all in the bus and the one by one takes them out, eating each one. We saw this bus at our friend Alissa's and Eli really liked it, so now we are invested in Little People. Eli already knew about them from another friends house, but he was so excited to see that they can go in a bus. As you can see Eli is free standing all by himself. He can now crawl and stand with nothing to pull him up. Oh and what happened to his pants? It got too hot, they had to go.
