Silas has had an interesting week. He cut his first tooth on Saturday morning. It wasn't there Friday night, but sure enough a little white bud was there Saturday morning. That would explain the frequent wake ups all throughout the night for the last few weeks.
And today we did banana's and Avocados. He did so well. He totally downed the whole half of an avocado (well except for the paste on the bib and the bits on the tray that he couldn't grab) and loved holding the banana. It was like a banana Popsicle. He nursed before and after also...so I expect him to take a good long afternoon nap. Especially since he missed his morning nap because of errin's that we had to do. Oh and he no longer gags either. The first few days of squash he gagged a lot and it freaked me out. Never really choked though. Now though he does great. He will just kind of spit something out of he doesn't want it to go down. I will know for next time to expect a few days of a learning cure. I think squash is a good first though...it's really safe and easy to get down.
Holding the avocado and then sucking on it, mashing it with his gums and then swallowing. I halved the avocado then halved it again. Giving him two big pieces that he could grab with his hands. Just slightly bigger then his fist. He loved it.
Of course he got full and after a while he started banging it on his tray and yelling really loud. Then chucked it on the floor.
