Silas and IPT

Well just right now we had are first major milestone of IPT for Silas.  He's been doing really good at going when I take him, mostly just at home, but more and more when were out and about and I go or I take Eli.  Then recently this week I tried taking him and had him stand on the stool like Eli does and go pee standing up.  It took just a few times and he now prefers that way most of all.  Mostly cause I think he see's Eli doing it.  But just right now I noticed that he had to go and I said "Silas do you have to go potty?" and He said "Du".  SOoooo I said "Come on, lets go potty."  He walked ahead of me right into the bathroom, stood up on the stool and went pee.  I'm not joking...most amazing thing I have ever seen. 16 Months old....WOW what a little man.

I can't believe that any day now we'll have another little one and the whole process will start over.  IPT has been something that we have made apart of our life and I think that it really looks different for every family.  For us we have really enjoyed it and have learned so much.  Seeing Si walk to the bathroom today really made me excited for the next one.  I was thinking about the new baby and Silas and wondering if I had the energy to do both.  But I forget how it doesn't have to be something that is a stress, you just make it work for your family however you can and in the end the results are just about the same.
This all said I think that it's only fair to say that we still have pee puddles in various places around the house during the week.  And poo can sometimes end up in places that would completely gross most people out.  But....that's ok..and thankfully I have a very supportive husband who doesn't seem to mind :)  Oh and I have a 3 year old who always lets me know when Silas pee's.  That really helps cause sometimes I can't tell.
