2 Weeks Old
Moses loves to nap on the boppy...in the afternoon he takes a long nap at the same time as the boys do. Sometimes we take a nap together but these last few days I've been taking the opportunity to read while he naps across from me.
They both seem to love there new brother. The last few days Eli has asked to hold Moses. He say, "Yeah I'm gonna Snuggle him". I'm glad that Moses is so loved by his brothers. Eli is trying hard to argue his way through most conversations. He's got great ideas and reasons for the things that he wants to do but they are all opposite of what we need him to do. He also is a constant conversation...always talking about everything happening around him. I'm a bit burned out by the end of the day and need a break. I'm trying hard to converse with him but some days It's just soooo hard...my head feels like it might explode. Anyone else feel that way??? He's a smart kid and thinks about things constantly so I know that he's just being Eli but it's still hard. I started to read and study proverbs. I really have to make sure that my heart is right towards him and leading him in wisdom and instruction with grace and love. I've started reading and praying Proverbs 2 for both me and the boys each day. It's been a good week to lean into His Word and find peace in the Wisdom that the Holy Spirit is speaking through Solomon.
I feel overwhelmed beyond anything other then just being at home with the 3 boys. Keeping the house clean, getting dinner ready, and playing with the boys is about all I can handle. Though yesterday I did have a great morning at the park with the boys and with our good friend Michelle and her boys. It was the perfect park for us. Easy to see everyone and lots of green grass. We also packed a lunch, it was great.
Here's few photos of the boys!

Jamie is a big talker too, I try to answer all his questions but sometimes they just don't even make sense! And always trying to talk his way out of things and make excuses to do it another way. I think the best thing for us has been to get him into an activity where he can talk with other kids and a teacher (or coach or something).
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that Eli has his cars right next to him while he holds Moses. Priorities.
ReplyDeleteYou are doing such a great job!! I wish I could see you guys more and maybe we can make that happen soon.
I love you and will keep you lifted in prayer my friend.
