This is a well overdue post. A few weeks ago we went to Salem to visit Uncle Tim and Aunt Jessie. We also drove an addition hour south to Corvalis to visit Eli's Great Grampa and Great Grama, who had not met him yet, for lunch.
We had lots of fun. Ate lots of yummy food. We played the wii, Settlers of Catan and Dutch bliss. I think Jeff and Tim even had enough time to beat Mario Galaxy. It was a bit of a vacation for us and Eli had a blast with getting lots of attention. He's was even really nice to the kitties. We had a few bumps on the way down but other then that it was a great 4 days.
Heading down on Thursday night we got a flat tire right outside of Olympia. Eli took over the wheel while Jeff changed our tire. (No I did not pull a Britney)

We thought we would be on our way after the tire change but to our surprise the van wouldn't start. Eli and I had been only waiting in the car for maybe 10 minutes with a few lights on, but that was enough to run the battery out. Once we realized the van wouldn't start we called Geico (who need's dumb AAA) and they came within 20 minutes and started us right up for free. Then off we went.
On Friday morning we drove south to Corvallis to visit my dad's parents. Eli was nice to give his Great Grampa his etcha scetch since he liked it so much. He has parkinson so the skills it takes to draw and erase are really good for his motor skills.

Eli also decided that it would only be right in the world if his kitchen things were with Great Grama things. He did this all on his own. Kinda scary huh!

After visiting Great Grampa at home we went to were Great Grama Evelyn cuts hair and whisked her off to a yummy lunch at Ruby Tuesdays.

Back at Aunti's, Eli got to open his Christmas present. A Melissa and Doug kitchen food set with knife. Now one of Eli's favorite's.

At the outlet mall Eli checked out some luggage for his upcoming trip to Chicago. He couldn't find anything with balls on it so were still looking :)
