Kauai Surf Break
(I'm posting 4 posts this time all at once, so to see the others you will have to look in the blog archive!) Sorry...the pictures should show up now!!

This Eli in his Sunday Christmas best. Thanks to Grama B Eli had this stylish argile sweater vest. So handsome! Christmas was very relaxing and easy this year. We stayed home and just enjoyed the cozy fire. It snowed here so we even had a White Christmas, which I guess hasn't happened in 60 years. Growing up in NH..this was such a great Christmas present. Sunday we went to church. My dad came on Monday night and stayed for a few days.

Sunday Morning

Christmas Eve

Jeff and Eli are looking under the couch for a ball. It just so funny when they are both looking under the couch. After Eli went to bed we stayed up late and drank hot coco and put together Eli's kitchen set.

Big Boy Bed
Eli had his first night sleep in a big boy bed. We've had the bed for a few weeks now, but this past weekend I got this bedding at Ikea so I thought we'd try it out. The first night he didn't want to sleep in it, but the second night he did. And this is what he did. He woke up at 1 am and came to our door. I put him in bed with me but he was too fidgety. I thought "ok...now what do I do...do I put him back into his bed?..do I put him in his crib?" I wondered if this was going to be more work then I hoped for. But then it occurred to me that he probably needed to go potty. So I took him and then put him back in his bed. I had to go back in a few time to tell him not to get out...(watching on the video monitor I could see every move). Then on the third time he just stood up in his bed and didn't get out. I waited..he cried for a total of 3 minutes...then he hunkered down and I didn't hear from him again until 7 am. I took him potty right when he woke up and he had a dry diaper. Ok that was Christmas eve. Then last night I put him to bed and he went right sleep (cried for a few minutes..but then laid down) and I didn't hear from him till he woke up at 7:15, came into our room all by himself, with his blue blanket's and crawled into bed with us and snuggled for a half an hour. It was the best. Neither of us had to get up to get him...he really is a big boy now. He was so happy too when he woke up. I said to Jeff that I thought he was proud of himself for coming in all by himself.

Christmas Morning

He sat with daddy for the first 5 minutes or so. We had to put the kitchen set in the middle of the living room for him to realize it was even there.

This is our Whobalation with the Marshall family!!! It all started a few years ago. We watched The Grinch during Christmas and called it a Whobalation. Like the whobalation they have in the movie. So this year we even had a whoFeast with a whoRoastbeast. It was so much fun.

Roast Beast

Grampa Todd and Tia Grama got Eli this cool car. Jeff and Eli started putting it together right away while we turned on The Grinch.

Jeff and I both agreed that this was the happiest we have ever seen him. He just sat in the car the rest of the night!

Thank you Tia and Todd for such a fun time!!

Last week!
So every year this local yacht club decorates all there boats and Santa is on one of the boats, calling out the kids names. So our friend Janet invited a bunch of families over to watch the boats and hear the kids names called out. We ate dinner and then headed down to the water to see all the decorated boats.
