Ella Roo and Hen Lady GaGa

So we were very daring this last week and me and boys filled the car and rocket box with all the necessities and took over I-5. Jeff went out of town over the weekend and we couldn't resist the opportunity to head back down to Salem and play with cousin Ella! I had my own share of bliss with my sweet sister Jessie! We drank wine and stayed up too late...listened to lady gaga...ate a super size bag of Fall colored M&M's. Oh and I sewed and sewed and she did scrapbooky things! It really was a perfect weekend. We never felt like we were invading their world or making a mess of a clean house. They took our dirt and food and drool and boy pee and loved all of us in it all. You just never know what will happen with 3 boys...life is too unpredictable! And it's one thing to be unpredictable in your own home, it's another thing altogether to drive 4.25 hrs to be unpredictable in someone else's!

We did it! This is our new family member. I'm calling her lady gaga..she's so pretty. I asked Jeff for like 5 minutes to name her and he kept coming up with names like, Kim, Bob, Mill, postage...ummm NO. So I told him that I was naming her Lady GaGa and he said no and I said "Sorry that's her name, you had your chance."
I really love her. Today she somehow managed to climb a tree. It took a chair and 5ft long pole to get her out. She then landed on my head...then on her coop. But followed us around all afternoon and even waited on the front porch till we were done with lunch. Then this afternoon Eli made her a sign for her coop that says "Chickens Sleep Here" I hope that the raccoon's can't read! Tomorrow I will go get 4 more in Port Orchard for a total of 5!
